What is Competition Prep?

Competition prep involves dieting down to extreme low levels of body fat, with the typical dieting time frame between 18-22+ weeks, depending on the number of shows. However the journey may start long before this if you don’t have enough tissue and need to commit to 1-2 lengthy gaining phases before you begin prep. Regardless of the timeframe, the entire process is mapped out from start to finish to give you an exact blueprint of what you’ll be doing and the phase you’ll be in across the year.

As the end goal is a specific look, programs are designed to bring up weak body parts and tailored to suit each individual class. Each class criteria is very specific, as is the look they want you to deliver on stage, therefore you will train in a manner that suits your chosen class.

A few weeks into prep the check in procedure will becomes more rigorous meaning you will be required to check in multiple times throughout the week as the competition gets nearer. Inevitable you will have to make some sacrifices to your current lifestyle, no meals off-plan, no missed cardio session or steps and doing everything to your highest possible intensity level.

This process will be one of the most challenging things you have ever done in your life, but arguably more one of the most rewarding once you’ve completed it. We look forward to being beside you every step of the way and helping step on stage and win.
